Hello. How is everyone? Good, glad you're doing Great.

What I'm looking for is a GOOD tutorial on creating a dhtml css pop-up menu and possible a howto on useing opacity filters as well. Something that has example code/explanation to see how others are doing this, to be able to create my own. Thanks for any advice on where I might find something.

It will be interesting to see if anyone comes up with anything.

I've never seen any tutorials for DHTML menus, at least not any thorough ones. There are a couple on CSS-only menus (they're simpler), but usually don't work that many browsers so I avoid using them.

The way I learned how to make these neat effects is to look into the source of premade scripts (ie. the vBulletin DHTML menus here on WT). Combined with the writeups on QuirksMode, you should be able to put together the puzzle. There's probably some content on A List Apart, as well.

Google's not been kind to me on this one. I thought it was just me. I've been trying to tear apart a few scripts but folks aren't kind with comments so it's like trying to decrypt the CIA.

I've got a basic understanding so it's trial and error time I 'pose (you know -screwdriver and hammer. Bang bang bang...)

thanks for the help. Oh yeah...

I like http://www.w3schools.com. They have loads of examples of everything!

dynamicdrive looks like it might be of some use. Thanks for that one. The w3schools is great. I get a look of nice info from there, but it's not the best for dhtml and things.

I'm looking through the scripts on DD (lots there) that should help figure this out.

Thanks folks
