Hello All, I've been asked to potentially assist with developing an interface between a control system that can send Strings via telnet to a Panasonic PBX (NCP500). We install phone systems but this is outside our remit and not readily available as a 3rd party App.

Basically the client wants to effectively use the PBX Panasonic Proprietary handsets as pagers and send pre defined text messages to the handset upon a trigger event.

From what I can work out the process would be as follows:
- the control system receives a trigger event
- Control system sends a string of text content to a PC running the C#. Maybe telnet or some other method.
- the PC receives the required text and C# sends the required data to the PBX to display text on specific handset or group of handsets

SDK info available here
https ://eww.netreg.panasonic.co.jp/pbx_portal/contents/sdk/sales_company/english/

My question is what would I be looking at in relation to potential skill set I need to source and cost estimates for development as I need to go back to the client with a proposal. Once I get the go ahead I'll hopefully be listing as a contract on freelancer.co.uk

Regards
David
