Is there any way to embed browser into an standalone application? Of course, only if user is online, they can surf online for whatever they like.

Any suggestion?

Yes, there is a program I use called MioFactory. You can use it to create standard exe applications, but displaying a HTML document (or other web programming language in them). It's kind of hard to explain, if you want to know what I mean take a look at the downloads on my site: http://www.surfinstan.com/downloads.htm beleive it or not everything on that page (screensavers, calculator... everything) is just one form of wb document, displayed slightly differently, using MioFactory... I think the site is www.mioplanet.com. Give it a go...

Thanks for answering my post. Appreciate!

I browsed mioplanet. It does create all kinds of applications using HTML and other scripts. My question is whether there is any program/script help us create web browser application with URL searchable feature?

Like regular web brower, you can input any url and see related web pages.

Borland Delphi has a TWebBrowser component, you can just plonk it on a form and link a text box to it for the URL, etc.

It basically embeds IE into the form, and then you can access it from the Delphi application code. Not really used it myself before.

Absolutely -- I have seen browser components embedded in the Visual Basic applications -- I know, I have used it (although it was some time ago and was in VB 6 back in the pre-.NET days).

To go back to my suggestion - could you not make a web browser using an iframe and a text box? (with a bit of JavaScript?)
