hi everyone! i wasn't quite sure where to post this so i'm trying here first...

i want to change colors for certain parts of an image (clothing) on a mouseover or a clickable link.

the only things i've been able to find are manual instructions on doing it with photoshop. but i have about 3000 different pictures that change often. i guess i'm looking for some sort of automatic way to do this? or any way that won't invlove me sitting there in photoshop changing colors 3000 x 3(avg) = 9000 times... not to mention the overhead on storing all that mess!

any ideas are appreciated!

Only thing I can think of is making generic cloths that have a transparent inside, then you can just change the backgound color and the shirt or pants or whatever will change on the inside.

Other than that I think you are stuck with the old way.

You might want to look into using GD (if you have a server which supports it). I haven't checked the documentation for this recently, but I'm sure that there was an option to replace a colour in an image with another one. You wouldn't be able to do it on mouseover, but you could certainly do it on the fly with a click.
