I guess this question would go in this forum...
I want to setup a mirror of my site as a cron job. I did a little bit of searching and it seems like 'rsync' is what I'm looking for (?) The thing is every new page on rsync I look at just creates more questions. I like how rsync only transfers the files that have changed since bandwidth on both of my hosts is limited...
  1. Is rsync what I'm really looking for? Both webhosts are linux based and I don't have telnet access to either (if that matters)
  2. It seems like I need to compile the files on the webhost (?) How do I go about doing this?

If you are runnig a NIX style os and your mirror is I recomend rsync.

This util quite simply copies one directory on host A to the same directory on host B. Its fast and relaible and saves you time doing it by hand.

If your using windows then I cant help you (but rsync has no doubt been ported)
