i don't exactly know where to post this subject, so if i posted in the wrong section correct me

well i have the folowing problem:

i hosted a chatbox or a forum. this chatbox is hosted on a different place as the forum, so they are not connected with each other.

what i want to do, is give some "opening-times" to the cahtbox. for example: it is only open form 20:00 to 22:00. if you try the chatbox webpage on an other time it will display something like: "opening times are from....."

i already searched the internet for hours for some script that can do this, but without succes.
so my question is: somone know where fo find a script for this? or somone has one? or maybe somone know how to make it?

i think server time is the most usefull for a chatbox

ppl that visit the box are all from the same country (holland) so everyone in the box is from the same timezone

Is the server in the same time zone as the customers?

and what server side code is available?

Simplest would be server code that only allows access to the code during "available" times.
How you do it depends greatly on the server (and technology) you are using.

Though, not for chat, I've used the Quartz Scheduler to implement time based access in J2EE applications.
