Hi all,
we recently had a java developer in to help
create a site that allows users to log in to a particular project that will lead them to a page that displays a treeview of the folders on the left of the screen. For the first two projects the folders display correctly, and if I create a new folder that displays correctly, however for the next project the root folder displays but clicking on it will not show the folders within, and the last project wont even display the root folder. The folders are FTP folders managed by Serv-u. I have checked both Serv-u and IIS (Just in case) and there is no difference between the projects that display and the ones that don't. We have contactewd the Developer and he thinks the problem exists in the Serv-u FTP management or IIS, and since the first two projects work i'm in agreement with him. Is there any advice someone experienced in this can assist me with please ? The site was developed in Eclipse, Ant and the login variables are stored in a SQL server DB. I've checked this out and the data looks good.

Mitch...

Does the treeview get its data from scanning for files / folders, or from a database / file? If it gets it from scanning, it can't see the files / folders, which may to do with the access your applet has being too low, if it gets the from a database / file, there is a problem with accessing the information, or the way the information is stored.

The folders are read from a SQL Server 2000 database. I'm going through the code now, I just find this whole building with any then deploying with Tomcat rather daunting... I come from simple programming world that deals only with Visual Studio !! I want to go home !!
