What is the best chat script around?

I wanna set up a chat page, and now I wonder: What is the best chat script around, free or commercial? Please tell me what you think! Thanks!

Well, obviously you get what you pay for

I haveexperimented with some, phpMyChat is pretty good - the only thing wrong with all those PHP and Perl type scripts is that they rely of browser refreshes - so the page has to load again for messages to appear.

If you don't want that then there are free Java chats available, and I have seen a couple of Flash chats too. Do a search at hotscripts, there are tons for Perl and a little more then less for PHP.

Well, I have made a very deep search in the internet, there are too many video chat scripts and it was hard to choose. Few days ago I bought the script from this company < spam link drop removed > and I am very happy with it. It has a lot of great functions and guys there were very kind, we spent few hours in testing with them. What I like except great functions is very good service. All the time there was a girl who helped me with everything and answered all my questions.

Been thinking about signing up for months but at $50 per month thats half of what I currently pay for hosting per month - and this would only be for a chatroom

Seems a tad expensive for my liking

which is AWESOME, and only costs 5 dollars.

a word of caution though: it seems to only allow one instance on each server, and i'm not sure why that is. But, if you're only running one, no trouble.
