Hi, I just have a question about robots.txt files. Well a few weeks ago I added one to my root folder of my site hoping that it would keep the search engines from trying to index a couple directories.
Well I noticed that since I've added that file that my pages don;t seem to be indexed nearly as much as they used to... like Google hasn't indexed my main page since the beginning of the month, while it would normally have indexed it a few times each week.  Does having a robots.txt file have any bad effects on search engine indexing? thx for any help! |
