This drove me nuts for a while! Without knowing enough PHP to generate a script to show it, I've ended up using Feedburner to keep track of my feeds and it also provides other tools to display your feed on your site which can be customised to a degree. If anyone else has found a solution which displays a feed onto a page and allows it to be customised via CSS don't hesitate to let us know!

MagpieRSS is about as easy as it gets for a free solution.

I've wrote a post some times ago about how to use the XSL engine of PHP to get back a RSS feed formetted to HTML.
Feel free to check it, if you want:

Tripy, I didn't see where your solution cached the feed. It's an important feature for any realistic solution.

Jonathan, the instructions seemed pretty basic to me.

It's stated in red in the post:

If you have some traffic, it would be good to cache the value returned by the function in a database, and to update it only from time to time. Or it will use your bandwidth and slow down your site.
The article is not an out of the box solution. Just a guide I wrote for DansGalaxy on how transform a rss feed in html.
