I'm thinking about going to school. Skills I need to learn

How do I go about finding a school? Hopefully an affordable school.

But seriously, Most of the people who I know who really know computers just downloaded some software and started playing with it.

How did you learn your trade?

I think you'll find that a lot of "techies" are self taught. Personally I think colleges are over rated. Yes, you'll get a degree (The only reason to go IMHO), but you can learn everything by just reading books and reading online.

No I hearing you on that. There was some survey done that said something like 90% of programmers code write even a simple code. I know alot of people who are good with computers and most of them are self taught.
