Are There Any Good Free Blog Hosts ?

Hey, I bought a new domain: www.techroach.com

. I'm planning to start a blog on it. But, I don't have enough money to buy hosting for it. I checked some cheap options but I wont afford those too

. So, I would like to host my blog with a reliable hoster.

I tried Wordpress.com but its talking about "having enough credits" when I tried to add my domain to the account. Anyother good alternatives ? Blogger is nice but I remember Matt advising not to turn to the new Blogger. And, after sometime, I'm planning to move to another server where I would work in Wordpress. Moving from blogger to wordpress is tougher.

Whats your take ? Please tell me your opinion.

P.S : I had put a Donation box in my Webmaster Dome blog to get a little contribution for buying hosting. But, all I got was $5.

TechRoach.com is hosted on a Linux platform. If you have an available MySQL database and PHP support you can install WordPress for free in a sub-directory or sub-domain. By the way it looks like your site already has a WordPress blog installed?

I think with godaddy you can host the blog for FREE.

Well, I somehow managed to host it in my existing host even if multiple sites are not allowed. But, I'm looking for better hosting. Paid, that is. Because, I don't think free = reliable.

Why not post a thread asking for free hosting in exchange for banner space? There are a lot of people that will probably not mind hosting your blog if you give them a 728x90 or so near the top of it.

How sweet .. self promotion

I would recommend wordpress and blogspot. Or to be more specific I recomment a DOMAIN and normal hosting. Is a domain that expensive?
