Recently, I had a lot of reading about building traffic for blogs. I've been reading a lot of blogs and guides and I found this particular tip in some of the blogs. Stevepavlina's How to Make Money From Your Blog is one of them.

So, what is a blog carnival anyway ? Steve has this to say about it :-

Blog Carnivals. Take full advantage of blog carnivals when you’re just starting out (click the previous link and read the FAQ there to learn what carnivals are if you don’t already know). Periodically submit your best blog posts to the appropriate carnivals for your niche. Carnivals are easy ways to get links and traffic, and best of all, they’re free. Submitting only takes minutes if you use a multi-carnvival submission form. Do NOT spam the carnivals with irrelevant material — only submit to the carnivals that are a match for your content.

Blog Carnivals are basically a collection of similar blog entries, that others often link to. And it also generates targeted traffic.

They are one of the best ways to get non-reciprocal, inbounding links. You submit some of your best articles to relevant carnivals, and get plenty of good links, however, as mentioned earlier, don’t spam them with irrelevant entries.

All you need to do is basically:
1. Register with blogcarnival.com
2. Write a “good” article
3. Find a carnival relevant to it
4. Submit it (A link to your site's article, not the actual article itself.)
5. Wait for many one-way links to come in
