Pinggoat.com is a excellent pinging tool. After you set it up to ping, bookmark the ping page and everytime your ready to ping your blog got to your bookmark.

I went from 1 to over 1200 uniques a month in just 1 month with my new Romanian blog in a very simple way: a lot of original content, written daily (sometimes 3-6 messages a day). Comments on some known romanian blogs and few blogroll exchanges. Hope to keep the growth

If your writing is interesting, people will come to your blog. you can cheat with linking and forum posts if you want, but does that make your blog good or just gain some page rank?

I guest posted on some top blogs, that helped me to build the traffic to my site.

Another way you can raise some awareness of your blog is to sell/give away some T-shirts and stuff, For Example:
ProTycoon Goodies
I have given away some T-Shirts to other blogs as well as other fun things like mugs, so that in return they can promote my blog, by either wearing the shirt wherever they go, or by picturing themself in the shirt on their blog.

Has worked well for many blogs, and has got me so extra attention on some niche blogs.

1.post regularly
2.Interact with other bloggers(comments )
3. Use things like Digg , technorati , stumbleupon etc
4.Use RSS feeds.
5.Try to write your best article as guest post in a popular blog
