This post is for my many blogger friends out there who are trying to better their blogs. It's common knowledge that the blogger software has no easy way to add social bookmark links for each post. So I set out to find an easy way to make these. And success at last. I figure out a way to blogger's own code to make each bookmark link have the exact post you want. Using the blogger template tags of course to make it a little easier. Let's start with where you put the code. It's to be placed right after the $BlogItemBody$ tag. I've included most social bookmarking websites out there to make it easier on you, so you can just choose which to place on your website. And any social bookmark not included you can just go that website try to post a link and copy the link that you had to click on, then it's a matter of just replacing url part of the code. Now on to the piece de resistance:

You can also change the the word before the link closing tag to an image you want. One thing that has worked for me is using the said website's .ico img as the image. Say spurl you can put
http://www.spurl.net/favicon.ico inside img tags to replace the letters "spurl". Making this a complete it a fully functioning social bookmark link. If you place them after the blogitembody tag in your blog template these will appear after every post with the specified post's url in them of course.

Image is more appealing than an ordinary linked text.

So change the text in the links to an img tag!

Just use the AddThis bookmark tool for your Wordpress blog, as I have.

I agree with whym. All that text and all those images hovering below a posts look ridiculous. The AddThis button make it all more convenient.

Well since adding it, I seem to have receive a reasonable number of visits from StumbleUpon! It's overtaken Google now and I think it's certainly worthwhile

I gave it a shot, but it's just an image with a link to their page. Isn't there something like that with a flyout menu so people don't have to leave your site?

You're doing something wrong, dude. I just used the widget to "Stumble" one of Dan's (er, make that Whym's) blog posts. I hovered the mouse over the thing, a menu came out, I hit Stumble, and then a popup asked me to describe and categorize the page.

I don't know what you're doing, but I never left Whym's page.

Thanks for the list... But some of the sites in the list contains nofollow and redirect the link you post, that means search engine spiders would not crawl your page... But don't worry many sites in the list are nofollow friendly... Thanks again!

I honestly am clueless when it comes to programming. I am currently into blogging and would like to add Bookmarks for each post. I have read tutorials that say insert codes just below # <$BlogItemBody$>. It worked, yes, but when in classic view, I have my bookmarks but miss some of the page elements. And when I choose another, newer template, I retain the lost page elements but can't find my Bookmarks.

When I look into the html code of the new layout, I cannot locate # <$BlogItemBody$>, even if I expand the widget.

What do I do? Where do I insert the codes?

Help, please...
