I have started to use WordPress and I must admit its quite good! Someone on here recommended it and I can't wait to keep adding to it.

Presently i am using blogger.com as blogging plateform and it is really good specially in terms of indexing.......most of my new posts get index within 24 hours thats really quicker.....

I'm using WP, but I have a sysadmin in the house to fight/wrestle with all the serious technical issues, but I'm having some real problems with making rules changes that will affect one of our sites... She's cursing the rewrite rules as I type... sigh...

Well LOL.....I am using blogger from begining. I t do not use wordpress because it dosen't have option to add adsense ads. And Blogger is much more easy than wordpress. That's why LOL.....i use blogger.

I will use Wordpress to make my first blog.

I started my blogging on blogger.com, but later on I moved to self hosted wordpress blog.
Wp gives you more freedom to customize your blog.

I am using wordpress for my tech blogs and didnt try blogger before.

I use wordpress because of the variety of plugins. I love the plugin for automatically pulling in rss feeds. It keeps fresh content on the blogs.

Getting a blog indexed is the easy part though. That shouldn't have a factor in your decision making process on using blogger or another platform. As long as the blog isn't blatant spam Google will index it.

I use blogger, and it pleases me a lot, specially the new version with shtml.
I like the pre-made layouts, they're clean and beautiful, and easy to customize.
I've tried weblogger and wordpress before, and even the italian server Splinter.
Splinter was nice, but I still like blogger best ^.~v I'd never leave it :3

If you are serious about blogging the you should own the hosting account, the database, the scripts and the written material. That means all of these should stay on your server, not on somebody else's server (shared hosting is treated like it's your server).

And for that Wordpress, Movable Type, Textpattern or other blogging software does the trick. You have lots of plugins and themes (especially for Wordpress) including adding Adsense and many other things. You just have to look for them (don't be lazy).

If it's just a hobby then Blogger, Blogspot or likes are fine...

I honestly do not know how to use wordpress despite its popularity. Though anyone serious in blogging was encouraged to use wordpress, I find it too difficult to understand. I chose blogger here and if they have not come up with the click and drag method on its layout, I would not have been in the blog business.

Wordpress - Seems to be the best one out there...

wordpress for me always. far and away the best in my opinion and the platform in general is so powerful that full sites can be built on it. I really love wordpress.

I notice that Joomla is not listed. Is this not considered a good platform for blogs? From what I've read here and other places, I'll probably go with WordPress, but I'm curious about Joomla.

I use WordPress and to customize my themes I use ThemeDreamer. There is supposedly a theme customizer for blogger coming out too...
