Irfanah, the comment section of blogs will only deliver traffic if you are constantly the first user to comment on a popular blog. And a comment normally doesn't help to increase organic traffic from search engines because most of the links in the comment section are nofollow.

And yes, getting your site indexed via the webmaster tools provided by major search engines is a good way to start but you need to market your content and build links in order for your content to rank.

Here's a cheeky method for a nice traffic boost when you make a new post if your using blogger.

1. Burn your blogger RSS to a feed burner feed
2. Link the feed burner feed to a twitter account promoting your website
3. Link the twitter account to a facebook fan page promoting your blog
4. Ask as many of your facebook friends to like the facebook page

This results in you just having to create the post and it automatically informing twitter followers and facebook followers which is nice could work with other platforms if you can burn them to feedburner (never tried)

for me wordrepress are the most effective to build your main website on . as it update bu it self, google love that. as this dont allow any spam or limit this.
