When it comes to a blog or a forum, it is easy to create and maintain a blog. whereas, it is not that easy to maintain a forum, but its not too difficult.

I believe Bog is more easy to create while wordpress, blogger, blogspot allow you to set up a nice and professional blog within few hours and you can easy to manage it .
Forum might easy to set up but hard to maintain especially with only one human power which might not enough .

forum need much resources and personal attention than blog. i think blog is very much easy to maintain and also very easy to upload contents of your interests.... even forums are also very useful as it can really generate good amount of traffic for different interesting topic in a single forums.

I think this thread should be closed to stop the clowns who either don't bother reading or don't understand what it says.

Both blogs and forums are easy to create but when it comes to site maintenance, forums are a bit complicated and technical especially if the community gets bigger.

Both are easy to create. But maintenance? Choose blog. It's easier to manage than forum.

Both are easier to create and can be done in 1 click. But when it comes to maintenance blog is easier to maintain than forum. On the other hand forum is hard to maintain since you will have to moderate posts, remove spam bots and other such tasks.

I prefer blog. I know that blog doesn't have the features like forum but if you are alone then you have to create blog instead of forum. If you want to build a forum then you must have supporter. Even if you build blog then you have to have supporter too. Because its very tough to run a blog or forum alone.

tycoontalk.freelancer.com is not respected because its just a forum but there are many contributors/moderators here like "Giselle" who keep everything fresh and clean. So, you must have supporters/partners/editors for your forum or blog...

If you can unite both just like if you have a Blog you can put up a Forum inside the Blog as well.

Both blog and Forum are easy to create but in a forum you need lot of concentration. A forum include a big community where always stay alert to keep your community spam free.

You need lot of content to do blogging on several sites. So, i would prefer to use forum as a channel to drive traffic for both (website and blog)

Yes but a Forum need a lot of monitoring to avoid Spamming. A forum I think more profitable than a blog.
