Hi Guys,


I have a blog, it has about 50 visitors per day, I have been facing a big problem with commenting on my blog. Every day i delete 10+ spam comments that's contain only "I like your blog" with 20+ chines link in dots.

While all blogspot are no follow by default then why these kind of guys making non sense comments with lots of chines links ??????? does it works for their website's optimizing ??

Yes, You are saying true, i am also getting same comment from many days. This time i use wordpress blog so i consulted my friend and he said that comments software do this so we can not save our blog from spamming comments.

YOU think blog commenting (AKA spamming) is a good thing??

You can't have it both ways.

That's still nothing, i get 30 comments on spam, although visitor amount is 150.. Just add more captcha/intelligent question, Which i have done on my other blog, u won't get any spams.

+1. Manual captcha will help you if not to slove then to reduce the problem

Just stop them with strict rules, it is not a good thing to get too many spmming replies.

Yes, in BlogSpot these types of spammers commenting easily because word press didn’t allow to comment through software.

Turn off commenting for a week then turn it back on again.

Blog spamming is simply a revision or extension of guestbook spamming. Spammers used to visit sites that had a guestbook on them and literally jam them up with links to their websites. The whole purpose of a guestbook was to log real, human visitors on the website, and share with others who visits the website hosting the guestbook.

You should comment on your topic related blogs,Some people just comment for their site link.You should write some review about blog topic and give own recommendation...

The funny thing is, I got about 700 daily UVs and I don't get much comment spam at all... Something must be wrong with my blogs... Or right.

I think if you share some informative ideas with others than you are not doing spamming,Link only your topic related forums is a good technique to avoid spam..

yeah i also get many spam commenting.some peole just comment for adding their link.

Yes, they spam you just to have more backlink from your sites. And some just promote hard on their products and optimize their keywords.
You need to look for plugin that able to help you filter up those spammer automatically.

You can moderate your comments and choose good comments only.

You should comment on your topic related blogs,Some people just comment for their site link.You should write some review about blog topic and give own recommendation...

Yap, I agree with you. 95% blogs are no follow by default but some webmaster and blog comment maker don't know this fact by default! What you are facing is horrible experience if you are alone! But if you have moderator/editor/supporter in your blog then it is not so tough to delete those comments.. Also I have heard by using Akismet plugin of wordpress you can ban posters ip (If it exceeds your tolerance limit).... But for blogger I have to search a bit for similar widget...

Even I face this issue since long but I dont think it can benefit them!!!!
