Yes i do, and i think it is the simplest and fastest way to get backlinks.

I haven't used them with that thought, but wherever i make natural comment i would add my site if needed.

I dint do that not yet. I am building links in the forum only where i am interested

the comment have to be relative. if you put the link in the comment then you are just spamming man.

By the way, pretending you are not just posting for backlinks by giving yourself "keyworded username" and linking that is STILL spamming.

Yes blog commenting is the best way to gain links,
but, in order to avoid spamming you have to carry blog commenting practices in a natural way, do not go on blogging the things that you are not aware of and dont try to act smartly by writing crap and pasting links, now filters ll remove your link,

I have a question on this topic. Can these people (who we shall refer to as "Blog commentaholics" ) HURT the sites they are commenting on? What I mean is whether the site's comments are no follow or do follow links, does it even matter or will these comments HELP or HURT the site they are posted on? I get so much of these type comments posted on my own blogs. They sound pretty legit until I read the fine print. It's like "I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother click here for free car washing". Come on people. All that time you are wasting commenting I think you could start a blog and write some good relevant stuff but stop fake-commenting already.

Yes i use blog comments to get BL, but i dont use any automatic software for it...

- Write unique comments that don't sound too simple, e.g. "thanks!" or "nice article".

- Make sure your anchor text displays your name instead of something that looks spammy, e.g. "real estate listings" or "payday loans" especially if the blogs are not relevant to your site.

I have heard that blog comments are a great way to get backlinks but many blogs are either "nofollow" or just don't allow that option.

Have I tried it in the past: Yes! This way of getting backlinks definitely works if you can find the high PR blogs that allow links.

Many people say to do blog commenting. Some say to at least put 10 comments to get back links and traffic both. I have never tried that though. To be frank I didn't find many blogs, rather good blogging sites that allow do follow comments. If you can suggest few on health then It would be beneficial for me and many more as well.
