Can I use Stock Photos for free theme designs?

I want to make and distribute some free WordPress themes.

Usually I purchase my stock images from iStockPhoto.

But I don't know if it's permissible to incorporate these images
into free themes for general distribution.

Does anyone know?
If its no good, where can i get "legal" images for this kind of thing?
