Definitely money to be made in blogging if you know how. Apart from Adsense and Chitika revenue there are affiliate programs, and selling Amazon and Ebay products. Yep. I make most of mine through affiliate links and referral links. And I am able to do this without even really advertising much, since the programs I use for this are ones that I'm already recommending in my blog. I also make money off of Squidoo, by having my blog link to it.

I think you need to work harder on blogs to earn money than from static sites. Its hard to position ads the places you want. But traffic is what all matters.

2% of bloggers make good money at it I think. The other 98% WISH they could make money at it. I fear I am in that 98%.
Blog because you enjoy it, not in hope of making money. Then you will be happy no matter what!

The only way to make money by selling ads on your blog is to be rich or famous first, and then write about how you became rich or famous.

Technically speaking, there is indeed money in blogging.. But it's not as easy as it once was though there are still some whose main source of living is blogging. Sometimes you have to know the tricks of the trade to be able to earn through blogging.

yup one can make money through blogging if the blog is popular and attract many readers. If you go to buysellads.com, you can see that a small banner space of a popular blog can fetch up to a thousand dollar.
