I wanted to write a post about bad 90s style web design
and show some examples such as the Marquee HTML tag and the Blink HTML tag.


When I was crafting the post it worked perfectly in preview mode.
Then I saved it as a draft, came back later and it appears those HTML tags have been filtered out.
How can I allow them?



And of course I was working in the HTML tab, not visual editor.

Maybe recreate that horrible flashing with javascript and target those anchor elements in the css? Then you are only adding <a href="#" class="blink">

Then just set blink on a timer to go on and off...

I didn't realize Wordpress would strip those bad tags! Ha! They are taking every precaution not to have Wordpress associated with bad web design practice I guess!

Much against my better judgement though, you can use CSS for blinking text http://www.candsdesign.lcl/reference...xt-decoration/

And there are a few alternatives to scrolling text in place of using the horrible "marquee"
