i have a blog,but the PR=2 for a long time.i built it in March,the same time the pr of the blog of my friends is rise to 4 , my blog is about literature,there are 100-200PV everyday,so how to improve my PR?

get more links to some relatively close niched blogs and see if you can post an advertisement.

It's not about PR anymore! Why do so many people here keep chasing Page Rank. It's plainly evident in the SERPs that PR is not the sole determinate of ranking.

I agree with Steelback. Several years ago I managed to get PR6 for a site in only one month. However, traffic still didn't improve much.

really?PR is google evaluate your website,if it is high,it denotes your website is important for others,naturely,traffic is much more than before,if the traffic still keep the same level with former,why,how to improve your pr,i cant understand...

Yeah, traffic did improve, but just not worth my all day and night's hard work. I believe the reason is saturate competition. My topic is soccer and can only appear in the 10th page in SERP when "soccer" is searched

Regarding to how to improve pr, there is no secret indeed. I just repeated page/keyword density optimation, search engine/directory submission, link exchange, again and again, in a crazy way. And luckily enough, I caught up Google's PR update in one month and PR flied to 6 from 0

i got it ,at the beginning of building my website,i always pay attention to keyword density optimation,SEO and rewrite,upgrate everyday,i will check it nearly everyday,when the PR rise to 2,it stop,i dont know why ,i just upgrated everyday,didn't care for keyword and relink,so according to this phenomena ,do some think like you said is useful ,at least ,there are some impact.right?

I would suggest to change your keywords. Try to target on a lower level keyword.

For example , lets say that people are looking for "myspace proxy" and that's one of the top keywords on a the proxy niche. But just cuz the ser for this keyword are like millions ,it will be hard to compete the leaders.

So if you swap to another keyword less popular like "myspace pxy" or "myspace prxy" and manage to get on the top for this , you will get more visitors by that rather than trying to compete with the previous keyword.

I hope that i gave ya to understand my point :P

I could be wrong but I've always learned that backlinks were the only component of PR. The age of the domain is important in SERP, but not PR.

i think i got your meaning ,that's how to extend your blog or keywords.it's useful but needing money

- blog commenting
- classified ads

- link exchange

- online groups
- social media and networking
- social bookmarking

Just make sure to get back links on relevant and DoFollow sites. Google gives more value on those kinds of back links.

it is difficult for me ,you know some noun is so professional for search engine,oh,my blog no adv...i am not going to add..

Blog commenting is probably the easiest and fastest way to get quality related backlinks.

First u have to find dofollow blogs related to your niche, you can also search on Google there are plenty of dofollow blog directories or blogs lists.
