Hi! I recently started a blog, and I was wondering what should I blog about? I mean I know you can have a blog that's kind of like a personal journal where you talk about randomness, but I want mine to make money, so I probably will have to focus on a specific topic accordingly. I was thinking maybe doing a tutorial site, but then again, there's so many out there already.

Does anyone have any advice as to how to go about jumping in, and getting out there? I mean I kinda feel like a minow swimming with a bunch of sharks, how do I even begin to compete with them?? =/

You must have had a reason to start a blog - did you have a plan or just jump in without thinking?

I do have a reason, at first I was just going to blog about whatever came to mind, but thats just random rambling. I was thinking about doing tutorials, as i said before, but it seems like everyone is doing that already..?

Have you visited anywhere interesting recently? If you have you could write about that and include some photos if you have any.

Well, you are the only one who can answer that question. I mean, go for the topic where you think you can excel. A topic where you very knowledgeable of and a topic you like. Your interest should be there or else, you would find it very hard to update your blog.

I go for celebrity blog, since this is most often search by many.

Choose what interest you. Its better to work for thats interest you because you can apply your knowledge when doing that.

I've heard of people using Google Trends (http://www.google.com/trends) to come up with ideas. Best of luck!

i agree with you.you must think about which style of your website .if you want to establish a business website/blog or just a personal blog ,you would like to get profit or sharing your feeing,pic,vidio or other information.nevertheless,interesting is the best teacher,devote your all passion,patience to a website is boring but fulfillng thing .choose what you like or what you are good at is smart,it is useful to persist your website and well done.

You have to think of a niche that you are interested in. If you work on a topic that you are interested, it will be easier for you. Since you want to earn money using your blog, you can first think of the product or service that you want to promote. Then, you can blog about it.

if you don't blog well (consistent/scheduled, thoughtful, adding actual value to the topic) then you shouldn't do it. SO the topic must be something that u are crazy about.

You blog consistently in order for Google to index your blog everytime you make a post. Having fresh posts can let Google rank you well.
