Well I often google in my blog link http://myonlinecashsites.blogspot.com to see the sites linking to me and I have quite a few forums linking to my blog and I dont really post that often on the forums.Anyways I was wondering a few things.

1)Do I have to keep posting on those forums to maintain that backlink??

2)Corresponding with number 1, Is it ok to join a forum and only make one post just to receive a backlink from that site?

3)Why don't the blog posts i leave with my link show up as backlinks when I search my blog.

1. It's not necessary that you have to keep posting cos your link is already live on the thread you have posted.So whoever comes by that post and want to come to your site they can.But it's also good to have your links in as much pages as possible.

2.Well that's up to ya considering what I have said in number 1.

3.It's true that google only shows few of them but I would suggest you to look for a good backlink checker tool online which shows positive results.

Just go to yahoo and do link:domain - they show a lot more than Google. If you get registered w/ Google's Webmasters though - they will show the backlinks as well (not all of them though).
