Please do social bookmarking, directory submissions, forum participation and blog commenting to increase your backlinks. Traffic of blogs are always depends on timely posting, original interesting content and frequent updates. So to increase traffic to your blog try to do the same.

Give people what they want, post quality over quantity and make it constant and unique!

You could buy traffic, but I guess that's not what you mean.

I'm assuming you mean the blog in your signature.

First off. While many of the other respondents will tell you to use the same spammy techniques listed in your blog, I think ya got to take care of the basics first.

Get focused. The title of the bog is "Forum Watch". The description reads, "Forumwatch Tracks the latest update on the best forums on the Web. Stay updated!"
But, there is nothing in the entire site about forums. The only mention about forums is about spamming them for promotion.

The title and description should tell me what your blog is about.
The title should give me an idea about what the blog is.
The description should tell what the blog is about.

If I was looking for info about forums and found the site, I would never return because, nothing in the entire site is about forums.

Next:
You have to give people a reason to come to your blog.

Since your blog posts are very short, you may want to either write more frequently or write more informative posts.

Right now, the posts are little more than quick definitions. The content covers material that is very widely available.

Write about little known subjects. Start with a brief introduction, then follow-up with a comprehensive explanation. Try to make it entertaining.

I use the social network site for getting traffic for my site you can also use them for generating traffic to your blog. But for that you have to make a network in your account.

i use social netword and article directory, like EZ, and use stumbleupon,

and i update my blog daily

Well, I am using Yahoo Answers to get traffic on mu blogs.
IT works good.

Make sure that your site is getting indexed.
Submit your post on bookmarking sites.
Post on forums and blogs.

you have a good question. there are many techniques to attract the traffic but i think real traffic is visitors refferd by search engines. all other traffic is the bonus

Get more and more backlinks to your blog.
Me too had a blog, I used to get about 25-30 links per day from different sources and now I am getting more traffic.

As well as you can try with twitter,facebook to popularize your blog.

Do a lot of forum posting and social bookmarking. These 2 SEO tasks are the best things to do in a newly created blogs. That was based on my experience being SEO for more than a year.

1- Focus on long tail keywords in your posts
2- build more backlinks to your home page
3- submit rss feed to other sites

Do, long tail keywords really effective? I am a bit confused using this kind of technique plus RSS feeds.
