I agree that it is important to write good content on your blog but for some starting out, it gets old, writing a blog and feeling like no one is reading it. :-(

Onlywire is a good site to help promote your posting for you. You do have to join a group of social sites like Digg, stumpleupon and many like that, but it's worth the time if you want to start getting visitors. Some of the ones they have listed, you probably already belong to, so just add your screen name and your done with those.
