How Do I Email Post as Pending?

Is there a way or a plugin that will allow me to submit posts to my wordpress 2.3/2.5 blog without actually publishing them to the site?

I know postie will let me add a delay, but I really want it to sit in the pending status until I get back to it for a complete review before posting. I especially want to use this as a way for other contributors to submit posts that need editorial approval before final publication.

Why not just save them as drafts?

It's a convenience factor. I want to be able to rattle off quick posts and send them via email, even when I'm not at a computer. Then just pop into the blog when I get a chance, review it and post it.

I've been emailing my blog posts to myself and I find they tend to sit there.

I guess it's never been done.
