I wonder if a blog is worth my time. I want to earn a bit of money from this site.
I do not want to put up a blog and then spend a bunch of time to make 5 bucks a month. I can do better on other things.

I made the website to keep my name as I make vids on the internet. I have had 9 go popular on digg and have got lots of hits. I did not want anyone to take my username because my vids went popular.

IMHO, yes you should... must!

Your site is very unique, and having a blog will be a great addition to it. Blogging doesn't really take a lot of time, if you know what you are talking about.

Blog once or twice a week is adequate, I think.

Well where is some info on how to implement a blog on my site that's hosted on my site. I do not want it to be one of those continuous page blogs but one where it is continuous but you can click on the title and its also a page.

Since you own your domain name, try wordpress.org - you can also find how to install, etc there.

I think a blog incorporate as part of your web site would be good as it enables fresher contents to be posted easily, also comments left by customers can help you improve further upon your web site. It helps increase the interactivity between you and clients.

I can't think of a scenario where a blog wouldn't benefit any site in some manner.

I would say go for it. Use Word Press or similar one, your not losing money in any way either. They also can bring in more visitors if you make it interesting, but lots of people enjoy reading blogs so shouldn't hurt you at all.

You download it from wordpress.org and install it (it's very simple)

I prefer wordpress myself.

blogging can be dangerous, once you start it you have to keep going and keep posting otherwise it will die. if you like residual income, you will stay away from blogging. that's my opinion anyway

Residule? Explain? There can be other things I can add to my site besides a blog to earn money and or bring in people.

I think blogging is one of the main tool to earn lots of money. I am using my blog to earn money online. Also it will help you to increase your traffic.

Blogs get a lot of traffic. I guess blogs are the best way to divert traffic to content rather than making money. Content makes money

Blogging is a way to promote your website. Optimizing your blog/s well will bring lots of visitors and will drive traffic to your website as well.

I think adding a blog would be a great idea to drive more traffic to your site. Visitors mostly like to provide them more useful resources and updates on a site. With the help of your fresh and unique articles, more and more visitors will be attracted to see your site and have more reasons to visit again your site.

I am on a free host now. I made a cool 17 cents yesterday on my website already. Thanks to my work I have done at digg and stumbleupon I have friends to help me out.
I have over 500 mutual friends on digg and lots of fans. I have 72 friends on stumbleupon. I sent a page off to my stumble buddies and I got 72 hits yesterday and so far today I have got over 50. Not bad really.
The question is about my blog.
Do I put wordpress on the free blog until I run out of space or is it hard to transfer content and I should just pay 4 bucks a month for hosting and suck it up. Its not like its much. I am kinda tight though on money. Its not much though...

Suck it up and pay the money to get your hosting... If you made 17 cents yesterday, that will only go up. That's already more than going to cover your hosting costs per month if it continues.

That means I would have to make around 5 bucks a month on my website to just break even. Do you think its possible?
