I love wordpress and never would go to any other software

Wordpress all the way! Of course, tweaked with plugins and sometimes hard coding.

I didn't see anyone mention Joomla. Wordpress is great but Joomla gives you much more control and has plenty of plugins, seo, and templates.

Wordpress Would be Grate for Blogging Software. I am always use that.

Yup everyone will vote for wordpress including me. But i also want to give a try to drupal. Joomla is much prefer for portal compare to blog .

Actually Joomla is a Blog out-of-the-box. It's just much more powerful than Wordpress. I will admit that Wordpress is more user-friendly and is well liked by the search engines, and I would highly recommend it.

Actually, Joomla and WordPress are both content management systems.

Although Joomla does have RSS capability, wordpress is superior as a RSS/content distribution platform.

I know of many successful affiliates who're using just wordpress as their website platform.

Joomla requires more technical knowhow and if you've been using Joomla since it's Mambo roots, you'd probably be more conversant with it.

Definately Wordpress on your own domain.

You can setup a Blogger blog if you want to test out a market before spending any money or time setting up a Wordpress blog.

Then if the market is good you can setup the Wordpress blog and link to it from the Blogger blog.

Hell, I think you can even import a Blogger blog into Wordpress, just don't ask me how.

if you are going to buy a domain word press is the best but if it is for a free host you can use blogger.

Hmm...I have own domain on Blogger. I know almost everyone here in this thread advise wordpress but I never manage to learn how to use it. I almost cried in frustration when I tried wordpress after what everyone recommended and now very happy with Blogger.

I always prefer to use wordpress as the blogging software.It is Excellent Software for blog.

So, all most all the posts voted here for wordpress. But as for as monetization of blog is considering did wordpress allow ads like adsense or some other PPC so that I can have some money. On blogger with adsense ads am earning average $50 per month with 100-150 visitors a day.
