Hello folks

I just wanted to ask how much some of you guys make from your blogs. It's only recently that I found out that some people actually make their living from blogging etc, and I've noticed that some people have their earning range listed under their Usernames. I hope its not too personal of a question.

Also what do you guys mainly use; Adsense, affilates programs etc?

Well, I make about $3/month on this How to Make Money Online blog.

Its all good, I guess we all have to start somewhere. Heck $3/month is still good if you think about it. Ablaye, is most of your content written by you?

I'm making average $100 per month from my blog, Journey To Financial Freedom. My money mainly from Bidvertiser, Kontera and Text-link-ads.

I make around $50 per month from one blog and $10 from the rest. Mostly from TLA and affiliate sales. Adsense is < $8 per month.

What about affiliate programs? I rarely hear about selling product off a blog.

I've made about $12 in a month off my blog, but have yet to make an affiliate sale. I started writing articles recently and sending them out to a few article sites. Traffic is increasing.

I think it takes some time to establish yourself as an authority in your niche, but once you do that I think people will follow your advice.

My next task is to setup an opt-in list on the blog that offers a free course. I haven't seen this done all that much, but those I've talked to that build a list of a few thousand people are making close to $500-$600 off their blogs since they can use the list to lead people back.

There doesn't seem to be a secret formula to blogging. I'll just keep tweaking it until I hit something.

I just starting promote a program in my site. Hope I will success in next few months. Will post my result here after that.

I have starting making much money yet but you can make money with your blogs using google adsense.

When I was blogging, I made low $xxx monthly through my blog. Mostly through link sales and a bit of adsense.

The good thing about blogs is that you can earn from Adsense and other affiliate programs plus there are also people that will pay you to write posts in your blog so that they can have a link back to their site in return.

Man, it's the poor house in here.

Can't say what I make, but it's above what's posted here. Although, that's not saying much.

You'll find many bloggers use similar stuff.

1. AdSense
2. Amazon
3. Chitika
4. Paid to post
5. Link sales
6. Other affiliate and PPC places (CJ, clickbank, yahoo, etc).
7. Ad agency when the site warrants.

I think there are many ways to monetize a blog, and I don't think ads (especially search engine ads) are the way to go if you don't have a lot of traffic.

Look at Aaron Wall's SEO Blog website. He updates his blog almost daily with tips and tricks about search engine optimization and uses it to sell his book, a downloadeable eBook on SEO. The book sells for $79 a pop.

It doesn't take many sales to make up some decent revenues at $79 a pop, and the blog brings in a ton of visitors wanting to learn about SEO. I bought h is book, and know at least 2 others who did too, so I know it's working for him.

Most blogs are very low traffic, and that doesn't lend well to traditional advertising and affiliate marketing. My point is don't think you have to ONLY use advertising on your blog -- think of other creative ways to make money.

Hi Beley, I agree with you. This is why I pay more attention on selling affiliate products on my blog and make those advertisement incomes as a bonus for me.

what type of affiliate programs work on blogs? Particularly entrepreneur-oriented blogs. The idea of pitching a product to someone trying to make money (with the exception of SEObook) seems like a long shot.

Since I started blogging about three months ago I have made about $40 from my blog 'Show Me The Money'.
I hoping things will pick up in the future.

beley is dead on. There are also plenty of indirect ways to monetize (job offers, new clients, etc)

I'm right around $100/month now.

$0 till now. I generally use my blog to get back links. I have to think upon the adsense now.
