a like a two column layout, with the content on the left, and the navigation on the right. Also like a fixed width as opposed to fluid.

Exactly how I like it as well. I like the content to be the first thing on the left its the first thing people look at.

Right now my blog is 3 column with the content in the middle but ideally I would have it 3 column with the content on the right, similar to Lee's and Shoemoney's blogs.

I honestly like to experiment when it comes to columns! And so far, IMO three columned themes with the format.

Work perfectly.

You have more space for the content and more space for ads, to speak about yourself and stuff like that. The sidebar is a big experimental zone, you can place a lot of things there and still make it look attractive.

The theme I did for earners forum is a mix of two columns and three columns, another bit of experimentation that am sure you guys'll like!

I personally prefer 3 columns. Nav - Content - Other. I think it's better this way.

Maybe not in a SEO or ergonomic way, though.

For blogs, I like 2 columns with content on the left and navigation on the right.

For large sites, I like 3 columns.
