well i am doing bloggings for money and it will get you site traffic up but i found a better way to get you site traffic up. i email thousands or people asking them to join the sites and they do these are my blogging prices but if you want email thousands of people just pm me and ill give you prices on that

Get yourself a .com, a hosting package and a free version of Wordpress if you're serious about blogging. I don't care for 1and1's customer service but they've got some dirt cheap packages.

orait seem you're really want to try on blogger, the main point is you're really need a good keyword for your blog. Less competition and more search in search engine.

Then, do on-page and off-page search engine optimization for your blog, put subscribe form for visitor who want to get update with your blog. As long as you able to get a lot of visitor, you're able to make money from your blog.:taz:

Though blogger is a free site but if you want to do serious business then at some stage I feel you have to take a .com and then things will look better.

I find one of the most effective ways to get blog readers is making good comments on other people's blogs.

Blogger is free (and owned by Google) which also means you can use either your own domain or .blogspot.com which I use and it doesn't seem to matter to my subscribers. Knowing a bit of html & CSS to alter the code within my templates has made a big difference in my SEO efforts. Oh, I own the domain names for all my blogs - whether they are hosted free or not.
