Hey guys! I'm trying to start a blog where I can basically just post whatever I'm thinking about that day or write articles etc. However, I'm not really sure how to pick which one to use or how to optimize it for not only ease of posting but making some money with Adsense (or another similiar thing). I made a blogger.com blog, but I'm really unsure as to how to get it optimized and running well.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Maybe hold my hand step by step? Domain helpful? If so, how do I do it. Plug-ins? How does that work and which ones are useful?

Look forward to hearing from you guys!

Just keep at it. The more you learn the more you will understand what your next step is.

I'm a personal finance blogger and a little while ago I wrote a post that contained 25 steps to building a wildly successful personal finance blog. I wrote it with one of my friends in mind but you may find it useful, PM me if you're interested.

Buy a domain 1st? No, make sure you know for what you want to blog? Don't know? So, that is the problem why so many peoples fail in blogging.

1st & important step: Make sure doing a research to find the niche topics

but before that, make sure you're serious in blogging and to make money online using blog. So many peoples just hear the hypes and then want to try it for get the big incomes in one night, but after that they FAIL because they not serious in blogging.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty new to blogging too but one of the first things I did was make my own header in photoshop and replace the title and description generated by blogger. Theres a video tutorial I was going to mention in my blog along with some of the problems I had but here is the link to the video:

Also I came across this: deleted
Which seems to cover some things but I haven't had time to read through it yet.

Good Luck

Oops. The forum wont let me post the links until after I have made more than 15 posts. Sorry. I'll put up a post to my blog with the relevant links if you are interested.
