yeah, i could use just plain old xhtml, but all the files create a management headache.
i run a 96MB ram server from quantact, and i run mysql, apache, and then on top of that, i have a mediawiki install, 3 wordpress blogs, an instance of vanilla forums, and a custom image resizing website, oh, and a custom product listing site (kinda garbage right now)
anyway, it all runs very well.
i wrote an article about running mysql under low memory. i can't post urls here, but you can google:

and it's #1. it's actually not too difficult to get mysql to run well.
i (still) would like a package like the one i describe. i'm guessing i'm going to have to create it myself if i really want it.
