I had a Bloger blog with great succes and in my research decided to switch to wordpress with my own domain. I had someone through Elance configure everything and thought all was good. I was wrong.

Prior to moving to wordpress and self hosting we had a fantastic average time on site of 8-12 munites.

Now our blog is being found in google search however the bounce rate is really close to 100%. No one is spending time on the site which leads me to believe there is a huge technical/coding error.

Can someone please try to shed some light as to what could be wrong? Our blog is http://thecloseoutindustry.com

I would be very greatful as I am loosing my mind

Well dude, i am also getting the same problem.
I am getting daily 50-55% bounce rate. I don't know what to do about it. I have tried everything. I have remove all the images from my blogs. Compress CSS. Remove all external scripts. Still getting the same bounce rate.

And one more thing i want to ask is that did google analytics provide accurate data?

Possibly it is spam bots. I think blogger do really well to not allow these bots to even reach your site. Not sure though.

it's probably some sort of error, but if it's not I do have one suggestion: your blog seems sort of cluttered to me. The letters are really small which makes them not that conducive to reading. It just seems like too much, maybe people don't think they've found what they are looking for when they get there.

The problem you have mentioned in your post is not concerned to technical/coding error. Because if there are any technical or coding errors then it is not possible for the blog to secure good positions over search engines.
The bounce rate increase in the case when someone looking for say X but he doesn't find anything related to X on the website and if your website navigation architecture is quite complex and visitor just mess with it.
So to decrease bounce rate on your blog , you should first review your keywords on what your website is appearing on top on the search engines then have a look on your content whether it is helpful/informative and can fulfill the need of searcher.
Just have a user look on your website, you would yourself know where is the problem and why visitors don't want to visit your pages.
