Blog is not only for promote your site and it is not only a weblog it is also a journal where you share your personal feeling and experiences.

As a matter of fact, blogs were intended to be about personal experiences and daily life when they were set up.

However, people started realising they could use them for SEO gains and then the idea of a theme for your blog came in.

I use mine for all manner of things, but it tends to be personal experiences or recommendations of other web sites I've come across.

I make mine about photography, but try to pull things from daily life into my realm. That's why I'm so slow coming out with new material, but it helps me keep the quality consistent.

I agree with whym, its like a diary published and can be read online. Then, as it go on, different topics blog-about things are poping out.

Yeah, i definitely blog most of what's happening on me... Share some ideas with friends and almost blog about everything. It's really a good outlet of your feelings and ideas...

I think its up to your own decision. IMO, those two are almost the same because its all up to your performance in doing SEO. Maybe its up to your taste whether you choose doing it in a social networking site or make up your own blog with your own domain.

Today Blog and Vlog are famous in the world and they are giving some good info for online users. It can be more benefited if blogger's write their own experience about that things which he or she want to explain.

Ya, I also think the basic concept of Blog is share for personal views, achievement, experience to other. But now a days blog is using as a professional way. I don't like professionalism with blogging.

YEs lol ...you are right. Blog is th way to express yout feelings. It is just like a personal diary It is like a daily pulpit. It is a medium to share your experinces, share your feelings.

And I am thinking to start my personal blog where i am going to write about my life, my experinces and all about me.

Well, lol.... i use blogger and it is best platform for blogging in terms of seo and traffic.

Well here's my three cents.

Blogging sucks. But I was forced to get one.

If you don't like to write, don't blog.
If you are going to use one of the free services... don't blog.
If you don't consider your business an asset... don't blog.

If you are sane... don't blog.

But here's a fact of life on the web. Content 2.0, blogs, and forums (where others can interact with each other) is the direction the web is taking along with videos.

If you don't adjust, you'll be left in the dust or wake of those who get it.

With 7 websites and a blog, guess which one gets the most traffic.

and funny that I have a blog but I don't use it for any of my marketing stuff ...

I suffer (I hate that word) from a very rare form of cancer ... its short name is EHE and I set up the blog because when I went looking for info all I could find was 1 support group (of just over 200 members worldwide) and some very scarey latin stuff ... so I now have a blog that tell the tales of me going in and out of hospital for operations and scans ... but from my side and with a bit of humour thrown in ... because I'm like that ... its made it a lot easier to keep the work mates upto date with whats going on and when I might be back in work ...

I miss work ... ain't that sad ... l0l

so I think they got their place ... but I have never tried to make money money or traffic from it ... but it may be the start of a book ... "How I kicked cancers arse"

Blog are in my opinion really for update news in your words, experiences of your life and your works, your thought on some topics etc. It is the best way for blog sharing.

the thing about blogs right now is that pretty much anyone can get one and they are so easy to change and add new content.
starlord, so sorry to hear about your condition, but I think it's really great that you are putting your experiences out there for people to read because I'm sure you are helping a lot of people. kudos

I agree with you. Blogs are basically for personal use, what you think, likes-dislikes, social issues, awareness and personal experiences of life. You can share your feelings and important information with others.

I agree but it depends on what your blog is about.

I have a forum and I want to make a blog for it, is it okay if I also put some articles that concerns me?
