A post in the SEO forum reminded me of the I-Follow movement, which says on point comments should be rewarded. I had bought into the idea back in the Blogspot days, then moved to WordPress months later and completely forgot.
I know Adam already does this, Forrest is thinking about it, and the Digital Pointless crew is on "dofollow" blogs like a hawk. I actually did this because it's fair instead of to get more traffic or show up on link building lists. But anyway other people might want to consider if it's a good idea to do the same with their blog.
I've noticed on blogs that use Do Follow the number of comments have increased. I don't do it on my blog because I have a little bit of a problem with companies that build websites that provide "SEO" as part of their package that like to spam my posts.
