Hi ,

Um... just wondering...
When you're creating a blog site, or something similar like that... and you keep adding new articles, do you move the oldest article to the archive manually... or do you use PHP or something like that to move it automatically?

Like this website here: http://www2.jeffcroft.com/
If you look at the recent thumbnail photos. When he decides to add more photos, does he move the current ones to the archive manually or does he have something to do it automatically?

Thanks!

for a blog like this, I think your two options is correct. he may choose to manually edit it during every post or program it using php codes.

for a ready made blog like in blogger and wordpress, its automatically edited.

Usually, it's automatic and based on a concept called Recordset Paging. The programmer/blogger picks X number of records per page and they're sorted and split up automatically based on X and whatever sorting criteria the programmer/blogger picked. In the case of blogging, it's usually reverse chronological order.
