Hey guys I am thinking about starting a wordpress blog for myself, but I havent found any themes out there I like. Can anyone recommend a good site that has themes that I can purchase?

Well, you can purchase them, or there are lots of free websites for them. Look in the subforum right here, people post all sorts of different layouts for Wordpress.

Well, the easiest one by far (since it's right here and you already have an account)...The Templates-For-Sale Forum

Just ask for a WordPress theme in there. Say how much you're willing to pay...and say what you want it to look like. You'll probably get someone to contact you.

Maybe because so many of them are ugly, image heavy and slow to load? I've been looking for months for a WP theme that I liked to start a WP blog and only yesterday I came across one that is actually what I was looking for.

So many WP themes are just rehashed versions of the same one. The colors and header are just changed without much thought given to design and readability or creating something that stands out from the pack.
