Well, sort of. It all started one day as I was looking for some general web development articles to read through. I noticed a lot of these websites I came across were blogs. Well before, I always though blogs were just some site hosted on Angelfire (remember?) that some 15 year-old kid wrote about how much his life sucked.
I was wrong. As I started reading these blogs, I thought that maybe I would start one just to play around. When I kept reading around on how to start a blog, everyone said to start on what you're passionate about. I'm a huge car guy, so I thought I would start one about cars. I started AutomoBlog.net in May 2006 with no intention of making any real money, but it got me started, and is a pretty big success today, bringing me almost enough to quit my day job.
I'm planning to hire a writer as soon as a good one comes around, and hopefully with other projects I'm working on, I can quit my day job in the near future. I had no original intentions of it working out this way, but blogging has brought that possibility into reach.
