Needing serious feedback for star diet blog

hi there

this blog is new and im really new to blogs so dont really know what works, etc. please tell me your initial reaction to this blog and what you would suggest, whats missing, how to improve it, etc...or if you love it let me know

im thinking i need to add to the header - looks a lil' boring i think?

I don't know about those colors. I think that a diet is more of a minimalistic thing. My initial reaction with this blog is to think of something really thick and heavy.

I would put more white space into it (like the background and stuff).

hey what do you guys think of the fact that when you hoover over the "sponsor links" on the right hand side there that it shows an affiliate link...unprofessional? i was thinking of masking that but dunno how..

Not too bad colors, atleast if you're aiming for female geusts.

I too think the colors are good. The majority of people that will visit a site like this are going to be female. I would also assume that most females that are into diets and stuff are also big fans of the color pink.

any ideas on how to effectively utilize feeds, etc. I hear feeds are a good way to advertise, I have no idea how to advertise a blog though.

One of the ways how to attract visitors to your blog is just post a lot of comments (high-quality, interesting comments) on different forums and in such a way attract people's attention to you as a personality. This will raise people's interest in you and they will surely want to find out more information about you, so they'll go to your blog.

As for the blog itself, I find it very nice and interesting. Really great content. Good job!
