For one thing SpaceyJane you will want to use anchor text whenever you put up your website, this is because its not only a bank link but it pushes you up on certain search phrases. Which also increases your traffic. This will be a good help for you as I notice in your signature you don't even have anchor text at all. If you need a little more help on how to make anchor text either look it up on the big G or let me know via msn and I will give you the code thing to do it.

About the content, you might want to add to it. I generally keep the rule 15 pages per site. As this is a good amount and also helps increase your traffic from search engines.

(I have seen the template a lot I am not frankly a fan, but no one ever is lol.)

You do not appear to know much about promoting your site and doing all of that. I suggest you read some of the blogging tips blogs: http://www.neonscent.com is one, http://www.johntp.com is another one.
And one thing you are missing- a good layout/template.

I think the most important thing about blog promotion is quality fresh content, you can ask your friends to write for your blog until it gets visited.

It looks great, but I don't think that design or content is the problem. I tried it 3 different times on 3 different computers, and every time it loaded only half way. I had to reload it again to view the full blog. I tried it again this morning, and I couldn't even get it to load completely.

I'm not sure what the cause could be. Try checking your code, and adding:

I noticed the same thing FalconWebs did. It looks like there's a counter interfering with things:

Keep adding to your content. Maybe try linking posts to other posts to get visitors to read more than one post.

It looks nice though you probally should link directly to your blog http://modernabode.com/blog1/

Also you need way more related content than you have now, also Id add a related pic in your posts if its possible to draw the readers attention to your text.

You aren't getting traffic because it's a blog. There's thousands, if not, millions of people now following the "blog tred" and it's actually getting on my nerves.

Design-wise, I do like the header and I feel you've done a good job straying away from the "Wordpress look".

You just need to finish the design, it's actually really incomplete. Like I said, I'm glad you aren't using any premade software, and if you are, it doesn't show. Good job.
