Hiya,

I am the owner of http://www.fonebiz.co.uk the website recieves on average 1,500 visitors everyday. We have over 80,000 backlinks in Yahoo and in Google 1,400 after first update for this website.

The site earns 25-30$ a day via adsense and a few dollars in chitika, every now and then (rougthly twice a month) recieves a phone order via affiliate earning $55 each order.

The blog has only been live for 3-4 months, but we have done about 350 posts. Hopefully we will keep updating and getting better. I have already had feedback that the design is not wonderful but it works for me in that it gets a very high CTR.

I would like the readers and experts within this webmaster talk forum to give me there ideas, reviews etc

Please dont say "dont like design" please tell me "what i can do with the design?"

Thankyou much appreciated

Hi,

Site layout's basic concern is only advertising. When i first open the site i only see google ads. Try to remove some ads or place somewhere that does not disturb the visitor.

I agree with Tekin. The ads are VERY overwhelming. It draws away from the content. Maybe take one block out and see how it does for a month or two. If there isn't a big decrease, maybe take out another. This way your content will be at the forefront, which will draw more visitors and maybe even generate more revenue for you.

Unfortunately, it's difficult for anyone to make any suggestions OTHER than advertising because it's by far your biggest issue.

You're also running two contextual ad networks (Adbrite and Google) on the same pages. That's a violation of Google AdSense's ToS. So Adbrite might be one to get rid of right there.

You site is very nice (which blog script did you use?). I guess the only think you need is to get more back links to get more traffic...

I agree that the ads are too many, you have too options: 1. get rid of some portion of the ads - or - 2. change the attributes of the sidebars and the main part, so that the sidebars catch the viewer's attention less than the middle part. You can do that by changing the attributes of the text, add background colors etc.

Overall a little more graphics wouldn't hurt the layout, the header looks like a failed attempt to do that, but was definitly a step into the right direction.

@yenerich: is he not already getting enough traffic for being just being online for a few monthes?

lol i think traffic wise im doing well unless i start going silly and spending more on links than im ever going to earn.

As far as the header goes lol that is a fail attempt lol wouldn't mind someone doing one for me.

And the design, well ive tried others they might look better etc but CTR wise revenue etc its a real flop with this design im getting 8-9% CTR but im will re-arrange.

And conflict of adverts ill sort that now! its a good point who ever made it.

Thanks keep it coming with these suggestions.

ok, i broke the $1000/month barrier with AdSense and here is a good template format

the explination is here I can't copy and paste the explination cz of the google's indexing rule but just click on the link and learn how to get the maximum clicks and at the same time not lower the value of your site. $500+/month in the first 3-4 months is VERY GOOD!
