Ok, so I am not the greatest designer in the world, infact I think I suck. None the less I would like a review of my site. If you could give me constructive critisizm as to how to make it look better while keeping with the overall theme I would much appreciate it.

The site is based around my own political views. Therefore read at your own risk and always keep in mind these are my opinions.

I would suggest on the sides panels / colums a light (very light) gray. But in the middle where you blog is, keep it white.

Firstly, I saved the country from John Kerrys Tax Plans (Tax Invaders is cool)

I like your site, it is simple and does exactly what it is meant to.

The logo image is a bit pixelated, and you could choose a different colour other than grey for the outside. But it does it job. Well done

It reeks of political views! Actually, with the flag, and elephant, and such, it looks like it will be a site of politics. I think it looks good.

I agree with the side panels/columns having a shading to separate it from the blog itself.

Thanks for the comments. How does it look now. Oh, and I think the logo looks pixelated because of the scanlines.

I love it!

The "Yes, even I have one" is kinda hard to read, though...just white on the background.

the only minor gripe I have about it is that it's just a tad too wide for my browser window, but nothing is lost, just annoying to have the botton scrollbar. But that's just my anal preferences.

PS, send me an 88x31 banner to throw up on my site.

Yeah, its hard to find the right color text for that background. I want to keep it at <h#> tags for SEO purposes so in other words I don't want to use just an image. Any color suggestions?

That is odd that its too wide for your browser. I left it at 785px, you must be using 480X640, either that or your monitor is like 13 inches viewable. Oh and thanks, now I have to make a button with my horrible design skills

I'll get one to ya soon.

Hows that for a crappy button.

I like the changes, Cptn! On 19" monitor with 800x600 res, there is a horizontal scroll bar, but it only seems to scroll about 10 pixels. I don't know why it's there.

I didn't mean that it scrolls much. Just about 10px or so (I just hate the bottom scrollbar, that's all). It's not like an entire column is missing, so no biggie.

PS: That url redirects me to your main page.

[EDIT]
I found it. You got a typo in there.

Yeah, that will do it. I'm using apache error handling for the SEF URL's so if a link is dead or whatever it will just redirect to the homepage.

Oh Captain, my Captain,

Congratulations on the new site! I agree with others that your banner logo is considerably pixelated and needs some work. I like your layout and date headers; very clean. I'm not a fan of the ads, but I understand that you have to pay the bills. It's great to see you and Chris supporting each other with backlinks and partnerships, etc! Of course, I love the content and the three-column layout seems to work well.

Again, Congrats!

Thanks Kyrnt. I made some changes to the header. I did not want to change the text to an image but I simply have no clue how to make it more readable with css. I also made the quality of the header better, thus file size is up considerably.
