What does a scene from the Hobbit have to do with the message that your blog gives? I like the design and the colors, but I think that it would be better if it had another, similar, image. The Hobbit just doesn't have any relevance.

I think that the two green right bars could be merge into only one ... i think it would look better ...
and you should add meta tags for better submission in the search engines ...

I like it.. it looks fresh. But I have to agree with pushtiu_c about the merging.
