Hi,

I need a little help please. What i would like to do is:
Have a login system that i can assign usersnames/passwords to but this system has to record when the user was logged in to it (date/time). Are there any free systems out there that can do this?

Many thanks

you can take any login system and add one more field to your database called last_login and add time stamp to it.

thank you

Hi,

It would depend on what you already understand and also the server platform you are running your website on and how secure you wish it to be.

If you are running on a microsoft platform and have control of the server you can just set the permissions on a directory that you wish to be secure, then use the entry page of your secure area to record the logged on user and time into a database. However this would require you to either write pages to create and maintain users or for you manually to do this. It is not difficault to maintain users from an asp page.

This would be free but requires effort and you would not need any additional software but you would need to understand directory permission and how to record the user id and Date into a database.

Regards
