Hello!

I'm currently working with a few partners of mine to build a flash based website. I'm not sure how many here are aware of Flash Catalyst, but we're intending to use that to build from our design. Doing that, we have to know Flex/Flash Builder in order to get going.

I know a lot of this is Adobe stuff, and this isn't an Adobe website, but we're planning on using ASP to get Flash to communicate with the server and do what we like. We're currently researching what we can for ourselves right now, but at the time having difficulty finding recent info on ASP.NET and Flash integration.

Does anyone have any recommendations or links to a website we could use to get a better understanding on how ActionScript would work with ASP? Possibly even examples we might play around with or even advice?

We've thought about switching to PhP, seeing as how we've run into that quite a bit. But we're more familiar with ASP, and know it can be used.

I think it does not depend where you take the data from. Make sure that it is in XML. XML data can be used with flash so you will be comfortable using it with both PHP and ASP. chrishirst has given a valuable link for your reference, following that you can get information about using XML with Flash.
