I decided to try and give the databse/website project another go this morning and have had some partial success. When I ran across the latest error I looked into it and it dawned on me that the Webserver has'nt had the ODBC connection put together, so I promptly set off to do it, however whilst setting this up the SQL server did not show in the drop down list. My question is, with the webserver behind the DMZ, how do I allow the Webserver to get access to our SQL server ?

Best regards,
Mitch...

You need to give us more information about your setup.
How are both servers connected?
Have you opened the correct ports on your firewall to let the traffic through?

Ok... the webserver is a Windows 2003 server and the SQL server is windows 2000. I'm not sure how they are connected since the webserver cannot see any PC on the network when I do a search for computer, however I can see the webserver when I search for it by IP address on my own PC here which is also on our network. I'm not an expert on DMZ but I know we have a Sonicwall router and I know how to acces that but i've never had to open any ports before so if there is a step by step guide you know of that would help me out greatly.

EDIT: By searching from the SQL Server machine I can see the Webserver but of course it lists it on being on a different domain.

Best regards,
Mitch...
